2022 Fall Events – Mark Your Calendars

Don’t miss these fall opportunities for alumni and friends of UT Dallas to connect with their alma mater. Fall is a great time for campus events or to give to worthwhile causes or your University. From celebrating soon-to-be graduates at the fall UT Dallas Ring Ceremony to supporting organizations you believe in, including UTD, on North Texas Giving Days, these upcoming events will keep you connected to your Comet family.
Sept. 10 – UT Dallas Night: FC Dallas
Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with professional soccer at UT Dallas night at Toyota Stadium as the FC Dallas take on the LA Football Club. Purchase your tickets and sit with fellow Comets. Enjoy live music and receive an official Hispanic heritage inspired T-shirt.
Sept. 22 – North Texas Giving Day
On North Texas Giving Day, UT Dallas alumni have the opportunity to donate to the University and benefit generations of Comets and the Dallas-Fort Worth community. This annual online event makes giving back simple with the ability to schedule your gift to your alma mater as well as other North Texas nonprofits.
Oct. 9 – Moonlight Yoga at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center
Alumni are invited to attend the first-ever moonlight yoga event at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center. Guided by one of UT Dallas’ very own yoga instructors, come enjoy some relaxation under the moon on the lawn.
Oct. 12 & 13 – UT Dallas Ring Days with Balfour
It’s never too late to get your UT Dallas ring. While you can purchase your ring at any time throughout the year on the Balfour website, Ring Days with Balfour is a great way to get more information and select a ring that best represents your time at UT Dallas. You can view different ring styles in person at the UT Dallas Student Union and have your preferred finger measured to ensure the perfect fit.
Oct. 22 – Make a Difference Day at UT Dallas
Come volunteer with other Comets at the University, or celebrate Make a Difference Day in your community and tag @UTDallasAlumni when you’re volunteering. Details of specific volunteer opportunities will be announced in early fall.
Nov. 29 – #GivingTuesday
Join this global movement and give back to your alma mater. #GivingTuesday is a great day to give to one of the crowdfunding projects in need. With a variety of causes to support, you can make a real impact!
Dec. 3 – Santa Sighting at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center
Bring your family, friends and fur babies to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, participate in holiday activities, and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center. Photos will be available online following the event.
Dec. 4 – Temoc Sock Day
Nothing says Comet pride quite like a pair of socks with your favorite mascot’s face on them. And what better way to display them than National Sock Day? Show your love for Temoc and UT Dallas on this annual holiday by purchasing a pair of Temoc socks (or multiple for a full set). Plus, every $10 pair of Temoc socks is a donation and gives back to the University in a meaningful way.
Dec. 8 – UT Dallas Ring Ceremony
After you’ve received your UT Dallas ring, you can join other recipients in a UT Dallas tradition at the annual Ring Ceremony. Once you’ve accepted your ring at the event, you can take part in the ceremonial ring dunk in the reflecting pools on campus. No matter when you graduated, alumni are always invited back to participate in the Ring Ceremony if they’ve purchased a class ring.
