Development Services

Frameworks for Success

Through gift and data services, finance and operations, and prospect research, the development services group helps create important connections for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.

Gift Services

Gift services provides support for The University of Texas at Dallas fundraising efforts by processing all charitable contributions and pledges made to UTD in a timely and efficient manner.

Need help with making a gift or a pledge payment, a gift receipt or have a more general question? Email the gift services team.

Finance and Operations

The finance and operations team ensures that all financial procedures and processes are conducted efficiently and effectively to the benefit of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. This group not only oversees travel arrangements, but also handles the budgeting, account reconciliation, supply ordering and business expense reimbursements for development and alumni relations employees.

Other areas managed by finance and operations include administrative and human resource functions, such as posting new and vacant job positions, overseeing employee time sheets and hiring.

Data Services

Responsible for data integrity, database maintenance and the input and output of data-related information, the data services team primarily manages Raiser’s Edge, the University’s fundraising database. This provides mailing and email lists for invitations and publications, updates employment information for constituents, manages data and donor reports, updates contact information for individuals and organizations, and sets up event and membership modules in Raiser’s Edge.

Prospect Research

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations also receives support from the prospect research team, which provides information and analyses that helps build and maintain donor relationships. Through research and reports, this group helps identify alumni with an interest in giving back, finds prospective donors with matching priorities and philanthropic interests, and helps coordinate communications and collaborations with potential partners and donors.
