Alumni in the News: Comets Making Headlines

From Gizmodo to WFAA and the Dallas Business Journal, UT Dallas alumni are making waves in the news.

As principal investigator at the PAIN Neurobiology Research Group and a professor in the University’s School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Dr. Ted Price BS’97 knows a thing or two about pain. A co-founder of GXA Network Solutions, Alicia Makaye PhD ’12 was named to the Dallas Business Journal’s 2019 Minority Business Leader Awards list and will be honored at a ceremony in February. As a philanthropist and entrepreneur, Makaye wears many hats. She has served as a Tech Titans judge and is a member of UTD’s Diversity Advisory Council.
