Two Alumni Receive 40 Under 40 Recognition

Ashley Noelle Sharp BA’09, MPA’11 is the executive director of Dwell With Dignity in Dallas, a not-for-profit organization composed of interior designers and volunteers dedicated to creating home interiors for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. Sharp earned a bachelor’s degree in arts and performance from the School of Arts and Humanities and a master’s in public affairs from the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences. Sharp was featured recently in Fast Company where she talked about how the COVID-19 pandemic dramatically increased the number of homeless families in the United States and how Dwell With Dignity is “leveraging the time and talent of volunteers … to provide families with an aesthetic, personally designed, sustainable home that allows them to thrive.”
Sara Mahmood BS’11, MS’16 is founder and owner of brush365, a dental practice with four Dallas-Fort Worth locations. She completed degrees in biology and neuroscience from the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences and a master’s degree in healthcare leadership and management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management. Mahmood completed dentistry school at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas and has completed fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Dental Implant Association. She started her own practice in 2017 and has built it around the philosophy of providing “Dentistry with Integrity,” which is her company’s catch phrase.
Sharp and Mahmood will join fellow honorees on July 21 at the Dallas Business Journal’s 16th annual 40 Under 40 awards ceremony.
