Schools’ Merger to Bring Arts, Humanities, Technology Together

UTD will enhance the arts on campus with the merger of the School of Arts and Humanities (A&H) and the School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication (ATEC) effective Aug. 22. Dr. Nils Roemer, interim dean of A&H and ATEC and director of the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies, has been appointed the inaugural dean of the combined schools, which will be called the School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology.
