On Sept. 28, over 340 students, faculty, donors, alumni and friends attended the dedication of the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology. A $40 million gift from the Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation made this historic naming possible. View scenes from the celebration below.

Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology. President Richard C. Benson expressed his appreciation to the Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation for helping advance The University of Texas at Dallas with their historic $40 million gift. UT Dallas donors and friends gathered for a special luncheon prior to the official dedication. The UT Dallas Pep Band played a variety of songs for guests at the school’s dedication ceremony.Dr. Nils Roemer, dean of the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology, presented a commemorative gift to Doris Bass, widow of the late Harry W. Bass Jr. and trustee of the Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation.Event attendees gathered in the Edith O’Donnell Arts and Technology Building, home to the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of the Arts, Humanities, and Technology.Following the ceremony, Bass School faculty, staff and advisory council members celebrated at a reception featuring student artwork.Michael Calhoun, trustee of the Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation, spoke on his excitement for this project and the upcoming Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum, which is set to open in 2024.Dr. Nils Roemer, dean of the Bass School, and Dr. Richard C.
