Congratulations are in order for Elika Ruth Cokely PhD’15, who was married June 7 in New York City. Cokely’s love story with her partner, Yashreeka Zehra Huq, was featured in the Fashion & Style section of The New York Times in a segment titled “Mini-Vows.” Cokely, an audiologist, met Huq at a Pride party in 2015.

Archie Nettles BS’11, MPA’18, the inaugural Texas Instruments Founders Leadership Fellow at UT Dallas, was selected to participate in the George W. Bush Institute’s Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program. Nettles will join the rest of the 2019 class for the five-month program, which will include sessions in Dallas, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

A former hospital administrator, Britt Berrett PhD’09 shared his expertise on health care management in a The Dallas Morning News article by business columnist Mitchell Schnurman. Berrett discussed the recent emergence of children’s hospitals in Dallas suburbs.
