Homecoming at The University of Texas at Dallas is a special time for alumni, students, staff, faculty and friends to come together and reconnect. And on Nov. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., alumni are invited to join in the fun with an exclusive opportunity to gather at HomeFest.

Peruse Comet Street, a vendor fair featuring alumni-owned businesses, stock up on alumni merchandise for sale, visit the kids’ zone and check out other activities. An alumni area exclusively for University graduates and their families will be open throughout the event.
“We’re going to have a tent set up specifically for alumni to create an alumni experience for them and their families,” said Matt Winser, director of UT Dallas Alumni. “The tent will include a beer garden serving Peticolas, an alumni-owned beer brand. And we’ll have snacks including free empanadas from local alumni-owned caterer La Giralda while we play bingo for fun prizes.

New UT Dallas President Prabhas V. Moghe is also expected to make an appearance at the alumni tent.
“We’re very excited that President Moghe will be joining us,” said Brennae Wright, senior director of UT Dallas Alumni. “We’re told that he is excited to come meet our alumni and join in the festivities.”
Other HomeFest activities include:
- A trunk or treat for the entire family.
- Free face painters, caricature artists and bounce houses.
- UT Dallas Farmers Market.
- Men’s and women’s soccer games and a women’s volleyball match.
- Free entry to the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum, open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Food trucks.
- Discounts at the UT Dallas Bookstore.
- A winter item donation drive benefiting the UT Dallas Basic Needs Resource Center. Bring new or gently used winter items.
