Inviting Alumni, Friends and Family to Homecoming 2023

New events for Homecoming this year include a fundraising family breakfast for the Comet Cupboard, a special Bass School homecoming event, a free showing of a Disney movie on the lawn of the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center and a tailgate party with an alumni-owned business fair. Oct. 18
A Bass School Homecoming with Professor Fred Turner
6:15 p.m. – Lobby of the Edith O’Donnell Arts and Technology Building
Enjoy a light reception prior to a lecture, readings and a discussion on what it would be like to live on Mars to celebrate the 35th anniversary of “Genesis: An Epic Poem.”

Movie on the Lawn: A free showing of Disney’s “Elemental”

Breakfast at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center
8:30 a.m. – Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center
Alumni and UTD families are invited to enjoy a come-and-go breakfast with pancakes, bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and coffee. Every $10 breakfast ticket includes a $5 gift to Comet Cupboard, the on-campus food pantry.
HomeFest Tailgate
12 p.m. – UTD Parking Lot J
Alumni are invited to join the HomeFest Tailgate activities. Visit Comet Street, an alumni-owned business vendor fair, check out the tailgate, and enjoy music, food, games and fun for the entire family!
Comets Volleyball
1 p.m. – UTD Activity Center
Come cheer on the Comets volleyball team as they take on Sul Ross State University.
