Peter Balyta MBA’03

Peter Balyta MBA’03 joined Texas Instruments in 2000. While with the company, he has held key leadership roles in marketing, sales and product strategy across North America, Europe and Asia.

Balyta currently serves as president of education technology and vice president of academic engagement and corporate citizenship for TI. He works to strengthen the company’s impact in the communities it serves by fostering the teaching and learning of STEM subjects.

A former middle and high school mathematics teacher, Balyta remains an advocate for math, science and education. He serves on the executive advisory board for the National Science Teachers Association and previously worked with the National Initiative on Cybersecurity Education.

Balyta is also a member of the UT Dallas Executive Board and has served on advisory councils for the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the mathematics department.

His service to UT Dallas was recognized with the Green and Orange Award in 2017.
