The University of Texas at Dallas hosted the first All-University Commencement ceremony on May 15, kicking off a week of individual school ceremonies and celebrations at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center.

The ceremony brought together thousands of future UT Dallas alumni and their family members and friends in an outdoor ceremony with the theme of “Bright Futures Ahead.” The all-campus ceremony was followed by the traditional school ceremonies held later in the week.

John Olajide BS’04, founder and CEO of the Dallas technology company Axxess and co-chair of the University’s New Dimensions campaign, addressed the graduates, reminding them that their futures are bright, just as his was, with an education from UT Dallas.

The All-University Commencement was a special time for graduates and guests to enjoy an outdoor ceremony on the University campus. The event concluded with an after-party celebration and fireworks.
