Photo Gallery: A Day at the Ballpark
July 13, 2022
Former UT Dallas softball star Melissa Livermore BS’19 threw out the first pitch at the July 9 Texas Rangers baseball game during UT Dallas Day at the Ballpark. Livermore, from Frisco, Texas, is UTD’s only four-time All-American softball player and became the first Comet to be honored as the American Southwest Conference Female Athlete of the Year in 2019.
Livermore, pictured with Temoc at the Rangers game, graduated from UTD with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare studies and is now completing training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas to become a physician’s assistant.
UT Dallas alumnus Jerrett Jones BS’18 (center) with his wife, Kim, and son, Conner, enjoyed hot dogs and treats during the UT Dallas Day at the Ballpark picnic. The family from Paris, Texas, sported their co-branded UTD-Rangers baseball caps distributed to University alumni and friends at the game.
With outside temperatures in the triple digits, UT Dallas alumni, friends and family enjoyed a cool time in the enclosed Globe Life Field in Arlington.
A growing summer tradition, UT Dallas alumni last attended a Rangers game as a group in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Texas Rangers hosted the Minnesota Twins at Globe Life Field on UT Dallas Day at the Ballpark.
A large crowd of University alumni attended the game and picnic, with many showing off the Proud Comet Alum pins they received at the event.
UT Dallas Day at the Ballpark is another in a series of family events for University alumni designed to connect Comet graduates with their alma mater.
