The Dallas-based National Cricket League USA (NCL) is inviting University of Texas at Dallas alumni back to campus on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. for a memorable evening of world-class cricket and live performances from Bollywood stars.

A multi-day event on Oct. 4-14, the league’s inaugural Sixty Strikes Tournament will feature six teams representing top talent from around the world, including international players, coaches and mentors. According to the NCL, the format features an abbreviated match known for power hitting and high scoring. Like baseball, cricket is a bat-and-ball sport in which two teams compete to score the most runs.

The University recently announced a partnership with the NCL to host the event. In anticipation of the upcoming tournament, UT Dallas has undergone facility enhancements including upgrading the University’s current cricket field, installing lighting and preparing the grounds for spectators.
