Kim and Kristian Parguian met in 2007 as students at Naaman Forest High School in Garland, Texas.
“We were friends at first, but quickly realized we were meant for each other,” Kristian said.

Alyssa Redd BA’13 & Nicholas Schnick BS’11
As an undergraduate at UT Dallas, Nicholas Schnick worked in the computer labs with one of Alyssa Redd’s best friends. Redd and Schnick developed a close friendship for more than a year, and decided to make their romantic relationship official in September 2012.
“Three years and a house purchase later, Nick popped the question,” Redd said. “In November 2018, we tied the in knot in an intimate ceremony with only our immediate families.”
Molly Leadbeater BA’13, MS’15 & Daniel Saxon BA’16
In February 2013, Molly Leadbeater and Daniel Saxon met on the sidewalk next to the UT Dallas baseball field. A friend of Leadbeater’s had convinced her to join the Diamond Dolls, a spirit group dedicated to the UT Dallas men’s baseball team. Each Diamond Doll was assigned a baseball player to cheer for, and Leadbeater was randomly assigned to outfielder Daniel Saxon.
“We started hanging out, and the next thing you know, Daniel got the best treat he could get from a Diamond Doll — a girlfriend,” Leadbeater said.
The couple married on January 12, 2019, in McKinney, Texas.
Keirsyn Criss BS’17 & Tyler Criss BS’17
As McKinney, Texas, natives, Keirsyn and Tyler Criss have known each other since sixth grade. When Tyler began his first year at UT Dallas as a McDermott Scholar, Keirsyn was studying abroad in Spain. The two started dating when Keirsyn returned to the States.
“UTD ultimately brought us together as a couple, and we give the credit of our relationship to the school,” Kiersyn said. “Whoosh!”
Archith Venu MS’16 & Gargi Sharma MS’15
Although they originally met in India in 2008, Archith Venu and his wife, Gargi, both received their master’s degrees in electrical engineering.
“Despite originally hailing from a different part of the country, my wife’s family moved down South and I was fortuitous enough to meet her,” Venu said. “The rest, as they say, is history.”
The two were married in November 2018.
Abigail Madsen BS’16 & Justin Ehlert BS’16
Abigail Madsen and Justin Ehlert first met in Residence Hall West their freshman year at UT Dallas.
