The Portraits of Impact series is an ongoing collection of stories highlighting individuals whose lives have been changed by philanthropic support at UT Dallas. John Kalkanli MA’23 came to the United States to find better academic opportunities for visually impaired people, like himself. He found his academic home at the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies at UT Dallas.
