Support UT Dallas During Comets Giving Days

The sixth annual Comets Giving Days will be held on April 6-7. This year, the UT Dallas community will come together in support of more than 80 campus groups and causes and look to improve on last year’s record-breaking totals of over $1.3 million and 2,800 gifts raised.
Matching gifts and challenges will boost the impact of individual donations during the two-day event. In honor of UT Dallas’ founding year, all alumni gifts up to $19.69 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $1,969. More opportunities to extend your gift will unlock throughout Comets Giving Days. Visit the online challenge and leaderboard to see how you can make the biggest difference for the school, center, group or program you care about most.
For the first time in two years, in-person events are back to celebrate Comets Giving Days on and off campus. All Comets are welcome to join a kick-off event under the Margaret McDermott Trellis at 10 a.m. on April 6.
Campus groups will be participating in a door decorating contest to win bonus funds. Follow @UTDallasAlumni on Facebook to help choose the winner, which will be announced during the Final Countdown on April 7.
You can join the festivities before Comets Giving Days with a tie dye party at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center on March 22. Supplies will be provided and 80 shirts will be given away every hour between 2-6 p.m.
Even if you cannot come to campus, virtual and remote events will connect alumni, friends and supporters while raising bonus funds for contest winners’ favorite causes. Virtual bingo and trivia events are planned for both days with the chance to win matching funds and UT Dallas swag.
Alumni in Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex are also invited to attend happy hour at hosted by local alumni chapters. Look out for invitations in the coming weeks and network with fellow alumni during Comets Giving Days.
Become a Digital Ambassador
Ambassadors are UT Dallas’s digital leaders on Comets Giving Days, sharing messages and creating excitement before and during the campaign. Previous ambassadors have raised more than 2,700 gifts for the University. Alumni, students and friends are all invited to become a digital ambassador with the chance to win special prizes this year. The first 100 ambassadors to sign up will receive a free 2022 Comets Giving Days T-shirt.
As an ambassador, you support UT Dallas by:
- Posting on social media.
- Sharing messages and encouraging alumni and friends to support your favorite causes.
- Participating in exclusive Comets Giving Day challenges.
- Designating additional funds to favorite campus entities.
